About kintsugi subs

My channel and blog are inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold-infused lacquer, transforming flaws into something beautiful rather than hiding them. This philosophy reminds me of Carl Jung’s idea of individuation, integrating all aspects of the self, including the repressed aspects.

The process of integrating such aspects, such as known as shadow work, isn’t about eliminating darkness but embracing it. The shadow isn’t inherently negative, as it holds both the traits we reject and the potential we’ve yet to recognize. Just as kintsugi turns broken pieces into something even more valuable, self-integration allows us to become more complete, authentic individuals.
